Applicants invited to interview will be asked to arrive at 10 AM at the radiology reception desk (01 Level, Snyder Pavilion).  Typically, there will be two to three applicants interviewed each day.  After a brief presentation, each applicant will have a panel interview; the panel will consist of the program director or assistant program director and two other members of the faculty.  We have used the panel interview successfully for the past several years, and the feedback we have received both from candidates and the faculty has been very positive.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the program coordinator.  During the day, each applicant will also have the opportunity to interact with our current residents over lunch and have a tour of the campus.  The interview day typically concludes between 2 and 3 PM.

    If you need to stay overnight in Pittsburgh, the following hotels offer a discounted rate if you identify yourself as a residency applicant to Allegheny General Hospital. 

The Priory:  A beautifully restored bed and breakfast within walking distance to the hospital.

Hampton Inn Pittsburgh/Green Tree:  Located 15 miles from the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport and within 6 miles of Allegheny General Hospital, the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh/Green Tree offers shuttle service to the hospital, as well as to and from the airport (please schedule at time of reservation).

Courtyard Marriott:  Conveniently located in downtown Pittsburgh, approximately 15 minutes from the hospital, the Courtyard Marriott offers shuttle service (please schedule at time of reservation), complimentary breakfast, extended stay options, and free high-speed Internet access.

    Invitations to interview will be issued via e-mail.  Click here to view the appointment calendars--we will do our best to keep these up to date so that you can review available appointments.  Please keep in mind that we attempt to limit the schedule to two applicants each day.  Once scheduled, your AAMC ID number will appear on the calendar so that others know the appointment is taken.

    If you have sent an e-mail and have not had a reply, please telephone (412) 359-8409.  The hospital spam filters often stop outside mail, particularly from .yahoo and .hotmail accounts.
